Our Program Structure: Continuous & Student-Centered

At Momentum Learning Co., our mission is to help children build strong reading skills while also developing confidence, independence, and a positive mindset toward learning.

Momentum was created from my experience as a classroom teacher who saw many students needing more individualized support than traditional school settings could provide. Here, students receive structured, research-based reading instruction in a safe, encouraging, and engaging environment designed to help them grow at their own pace.

Instruction targets the foundational skills needed for successful reading, including:

• Phonemic awareness
• Decoding and word recognition
• Reading fluency
• Comprehension
• Confidence and learning stamina

Students participate in hands-on activities, movement-based learning, and structured small-group instruction that keeps sessions fun while maintaining clear academic goals.

All new students complete an initial evaluation consisting of two 45-minute sessions.
This allows for a thorough understanding of your child’s strengths and needs before placement into an appropriate instructional group.

The evaluation is designed to feel low-pressure and engaging, with learning games, movement activities, and structured reading observation.

Momentum Learning Co. operates as a structured weekly program rather than drop-in tutoring.

• Weekly tuition is $80 per week.
• An $80 evaluation fee is due at registration in order to reserve your child’s two initial evaluation sessions.
• Following evaluation and group placement, weekly tuition begins to secure your child’s reserved instructional time.

Momentum operates using small groups and reserved weekly session times. Consistent attendance is essential for student progress and group stability.

Students are allotted two absences per month without charge.
After two absences within the same month, weekly tuition continues to be charged in order to maintain the student’s reserved placement.
If attendance drops below 75%, tuition must still be paid for missed sessions to hold the student’s spot.
Due to the structured group format and limited availability, make-up sessions are not offered.

Invoices are sent weekly on Fridays.
Families may pay online, via Venmo, or by bringing cash or check to the next session.

Parents receive consistent updates that include:

Momentum is more than tutoring — it is a structured learning environment where students are encouraged to try, take risks, and build lasting confidence. When children begin to experience success, motivation and momentum naturally follow.
